The Cancer Survivors’ Celebration Walk & 5K is a community event held to celebrate and honor cancer survivors, and to recognize the research advances that are improving cancer screening, prevention, treatment and outcomes for our patients. Participants who have been touched by cancer – directly or through the circumstances of their loved ones – will join together in Chicago’s Grant Park on
Participants have the option to fundraise if they wish to, but it is not mandatory. Entertainment and refreshments are provided before, during and after the non-competitive lakefront walk and 5K race. A post-walk program follows, and a group photo of survivors is taken at the event's conclusion.
